Peugeot 205 T16 Evo 2 – Group B at Its Most Extreme, Drawn by Hand

If the standard Peugeot 205 T16 was already a monster, the Evo 2 was something else entirely. Developed for the 1986 World Rally Championship season, it pushed the mid-mounted turbocharged four-cylinder engine to over 550 horsepower — in a car that weighed barely 890 kilograms. The aerodynamic package was more aggressive, the bodywork wider, the performance almost incomprehensible on public roads. Timo Salonen had won the WRC title with the original T16 in 1985. The Evo 2 was built to go further still — until the FIA banned Group B entirely after the tragedies of 1986, ending the most spectacular era in rally history.
